Competition law

When an investigation, a merger or a competitor’s conduct puts a company’s market position at stake.

European flags outside the Berlaymont, headquarters of the European Commission, in Brussels

We advise and defend businesses on French and EU competition law, before the French Competition Authority, the European Commission and the courts. Emmanuel Tricot has practised in this field for more than twenty years, at firms including Bredin Prat, Clifford Chance and KPMG Avocats.

Our work ranges from compliance audits of a sales network to on-site support during a dawn raid, from merger filings to damages claims against a cartel. Competition law is not just a constraint: faced with a far stronger trading partner, it can also restore a balance. Because competition issues rarely come alone, we handle them together with the contractual, distribution and litigation questions around them.
